About Me
I am a Finnish singer and freelance petite model currently living in New Plymouth, New Zealand.
I was born in Tampere, Finland in 1987.
My first acting and modelling jobs were commercial work for film and print advertorials in Finland as a young child, being a model for baby fashion editorials, multi-vitamin adverts and finally TV-commercials for a Finnish amusement park, Särkänniemi.
As a teenager music and drama was a major focus throughout my school years. My specialised subject for the duration of high school was drama, and I was involved with the youth and amateur theatre during my free time, as well as being enrolled in a dance school.
In the beginning of the year 2007, at the age of 19, I decided to leave Helsinki and move to England by myself, living and working in York and Leeds.
I started my 'Acting and Performing Arts' studies in England at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts in 2009. My core focus was music, dance and acting. During my studies I was approached to do some modelling work, which I hadn’t previously considered, being a petite size. I began modelling in 2010, and moved to London in 2011.
After graduating from LIPA with a diploma I was working in the fashion industry, modelling and performing in two bands, my own and with a group called The Valkarys, performing at iconic rock and roll venues across London. The live videos I was posting in my social media channels at the time resulted to a collaboration with the award winning Finnish singer-songwriter Jonne Aaron. In May 2012 I moved back to Finland, where I signed my first recording and publishing deal with Playground Music Finland.
During 2013 I released two singles 'Aavaa' and 'Aurinko', which both made it to radio's across Finland. Aavaa was in the Top20 most played song chart of Radio Suomi (Radio Finland) for over 8 weeks.
I moved back to London in 2014, where I met my husband and a fellow musician: Luke van Hoof. I resumed my focus in working in the fashion industry and modelling around the UK, until we moved to Luke’s native New Zealand at the end of 2015.
Photoshoots I have done have been published in books and magazines, including: 'Cycle Style', 'Pride and Glory; the Rockers Jacket, 'Together Journal’ and 'Marie Claire USA'. My work in music in Finland has resulted in radio, television and magazine interviews.
In 2017 I got married to my partner Luke Adrian van Hoof in New Plymouth, New Zealand where we have settled down. In 2018 we had our first son, Lumi. I have since been enjoying life as a stay at home mum and a home maker.

After some years break from music, I have began to sing again and work on an EP in collaboration with my husband and a fellow musician, Luke. We share the same passions and the same dream and are so excited to be playing officially as a duo, a band together for the first time. We look forward to releasing both covers and originals, and playing shows again very soon. Stay tuned!
